A Call To Booze

I hope that most of y'all have received your invites by now. And I hope y'all like 'em. It's less than two months 'til we get hitched, so now's as good a time as any to start thinkin' 'bout hooch. What do you guys want to drink? What are your libational preferences? Please be specific. What brands? How much? Stuff like that there. Thankee sai.

Also: we make no guarantees.

Flea Market

In our effort to save money, we went to a flea market. We probably spent more getting to the flea market than at the actual market itself. Not that it cost a lot of money to get there. It's just that we never seem to find the bargains that everyone else seems to. We try to bargain, we try to haggle, but to no avail. We saw a wicked awesome flask. Well, maybe not quite that awesome. It was only five ounces and too fat and round THEY THREW AN ELEPHANT THROUGH A WINDOW!

Sorry, got distracted there.

The flask was unwieldly, that's what I was saying. But it had a picture of Lenin on it! With some kind of Russian inscription! But the old dude wanted 15 bucks for it. He seemed insulted when I offered him less. Carla had about the same luck. Meanwhile our friends were getting stuff for half price. Lame.

The best thing I bought all day was this:

And by 'best' I mean...

...most... sausage...

...I got nuthin.

I Cannot, For the Life of Me, Think of a Good Title. Something To Do With Shoes Maybe...

Carla and I are trying to save money. Because the next few months are going to be expensive ones. Ryland is going to be here for a month, and during that month both he and I have birthdays. The month after that... something is happening. I'm not too sure about the specifics. But I know it ain't going to be cheap.

So what did we do today to save money? Went bowling. We are not good at bowling. Unless the goal is too almost hit the pins but not quite. I got pretty good at that. Also, banging yourself in the knee with a bowling ball is not pleasant. Nor is getting a paper cut across your knuckles.

To ease our pain and soothe our pride, we went to an izakaya where they charged us for food they never brought us. So we raised a ruckus. Woot!

Also, I saw an evil spirit in a glass. It told me to burn things.
