And I thought I was cynical

There was a guy from New York up in the lounge last night. He doesn't even live in the building, but I guess he used to. He loudly expressed his opinions on many topics, but the ones he kept coming back to were how the Japanese either know everything about something or nothing, how they're all big complainers, and how they'll all try to use us for free English lessons, and we shouldn't let them "milk" us. Now maybe I'm a sucker, but I'm more than happy to talk to people for the sake of being friendly. Especially if they have something interesting to say. Maybe I just haven't been here long enough. Or maybe I'm just not a complete jerk.
